Children’s Books

Dr. Ruth Rimmer has worked with burn-injured children for 16-years and is a leading expert in international burn prevention strategies. A psychologist at the Arizona Burn Center, Dr. Rimmer has successfully aided ABR to introduce two Chichewa-translated children’s books in rural Nkhoma. These informative coloring books discuss the burn in-patient experience and safety prevention tips for Malawian children and parents. These unique books are helping to initiate the first-ever major burn prevention campaign in rural Malawi.

If your program is interested in using these books for an international burn prevention program, please visit www.booksbecause.com.
